“The only way to switch off the red light function is to cycle through the modes meaning that you have to switch to white light before it turns off. I got an absolute roasting for this during a nighttime exercise with the army so I’d avoid it if you need it for the same reason.”

“I’ve just bought two of these; one to fit my helmet and one for ordinary headband use. Delivery was super rapid, the price is great and the build quality is fine. However it is billed as having 5 modes; Full Red, Flashing Red, White, Max White and Flashing White. Neither of mine have the flashing option, which isn’t a big deal, although not as specified! More importantly, for a torch billed as a tactical ‘Spec Ops’ torch, the first light that comes on, with only a single button to control it, is Max White - not Red as one would expect. Of course for normal everyday use that’s perfectly fine, but for military use that’s the last thing you want.”
