A simple to use yet bright outdoor headtorch with an IPX4 protection water resistant rating and elasticated headband. PLEASE NOTE: This torch is designed to prevent accidental operation. Depress the on/off buttons for 3 seconds to activate either the white or red light modes. Can also be easily and quickly mounted on latest issue helmets making it ideal for exercises and military training. The Alcor features a two switch design that allows you to quickly cycle through 5 lighting modes including red light (for retaining night vision). Furthermore a long battery burn time makes it ideal for multi-day adventures or long night excursions. “We initially thought the light didn't work. However, after just reading a previous review and following their comments it works. It looks great on his camo helmet.”

“The torch is great. However it took me a while to realise that you ned to depress the main buttons for 2 or 3 seconds before they come on. I spoke to the company and they said this prevents the torch from accidentally lighting up whilst in your bag. The instructions are good but they didn't mention this.”

“One day, all manufacturers of small LED torches will realise that using a single AA battery and a proper, not so expensive mini-microprocessor controlled voltage boost circuit is the only way that this job should be done. Other much more expensive similar items use four AAA batteries and an inefficient resistor/transistor dropper drive circuit. AAA batteries are more expensive and one third of the capacity. This device gets it right. The white beam is well focussed, narrow, and decently bright on full power for a miniature torch. Low power is good enough for scrambling around in the tent or car at night. When walking back from the local hostelry on a nasty country road, front person on white, rear person with a second device facing backwards on red, a spare AA battery in pocket, perfect. Bright enough for a DIY job in a dark and dusty attic. Well worth the money.”
