NATO approved Standard Emergency Biscuit Ration by Seven Seas. Each foil wrapped 500g pack contains 9 individually wrapped 56g high energy baked wheat bars (approximately 2,500 kcal in total). Ideal for inclusion in liferafts, boats, aircraft, road vehicles and survival kits. Up to 5 years shelf life (from the point of manufacture). Made in Germany. Pack Size: H12.5cm x W17cm x 4.9cm. “I bought these emergency rations for general survival use. I'm a cadet instructor but I also have an interest in survival and do a lot of survival challenges and lightweight camping trips. It's good to have some emergency food in the bottom of your pack in case I can't bag a rabbit or catch a fish. First of all I'd lik to mention the very fast delivery from Cadet Direct - excellent service. As I said I will be using these as emergency rations for trekking and backpacking, but if you are looking to store them long term, these have reasonably long dates - these particular items were produced in Jul 2017 and expire in August 2022. The biscuits come in invidual paper wrapping (two squares per bar, 9 bars in total) all are packed in foil wrapping which is probably worth leaving in place to keep them fresh. Outside of this there is the cardboard carton. I opened the first pack and they tasted fresh - quite dry and crumbly. A lot of reviewers say they taste like shortbread which I would agree with and certainly not unpleasant but you can tell they're made for emergencies. Suitable for vegetarians. Hope this helps.”

“A bit hesitant about trying these as look nice but learnt whatever looks nice tastes like ****. How wrong was i they are great, a little dry, i had several left over and use them to fuel me on my ultra runs and find they offer a fantastic boost, great taste and in the wax paper so relatively water proof.”
