This incredibly lightweight mini mess tin is constructed from super tough aluminium and makes an ideal survival kit container, since it can also be used as a min mess tin for making hot drinks and for cooking food. Airtight construction with locking roller clasps. It features a rubber seal within the lid. As used for the Ultimate Survival Kit (available separately).

“I've just received my tin and was looking forward to filling it. After opening the lid the rubber seal falls away and won't sit right to place the lid back to the bottom also, I found both the lid and the pan to be quite sharp around the edging ,something I'm going to have to rub down to make it feel more comfortable to open and use safely”

“A robust piece of kit, which offers much more uses than its plastic counter part. Fill with hot stew, seal the box then place in a benny hat for insulation. It retains its heat in my cycle saddle bag until lunch time. Every bergan should have one and there is the benefit of a pre-warmed benny hat for down time. An old Tommy trick for cleaning aluminium mess tins, is to first smear with an acid, a slice of lemon is perfect for the job, leave for an hour or so then wash/place in dish washer at endex.”

“What a fabulous tin. We added a new fire steel and striker to this along with a selection of tinders to make the perfect fire lighting kit for one lucky Scout. She was over the moon with it.”
