Genuine issue NATO-approved 1958 pattern British Forces water bottle with integral mug. Manufactured from heavy duty plastic. Screw-cap closure with rubber seal. This is not supplied with a CBRN top. Size: 1.0 litre capacity/ 0.5 litre capacity mug. Colour: black.

“Robust and good quality, the handles on the mug rattled quite a bit. Don't expect the need to buy a new waterbottle after this one, it will probably survive longer than you or I.”

“This waterbottle is really good and ideal for holding your water supply. The cup is also good for holding liquids too - but is not as good as the bottle part of the ensemble. Don’t put the low melting point plastic on a hexi or other stove or you may exceed the melting point and neither will be as good at holding liquids as the day they were manufactured. It was designed in 1958 so more up to date water bottles may be available, but this is a solid one (if you don’t cook it).”

“Purchased one when I was a cadet about 10 years ago. So after a subsequent 4 years of cadet use and now 6 years of Royal Navy service its still going strong. Only had to change the plastic O ring system that connects lid to bottle. The price is a reflection of the products quality.”

“It's impossible to go wrong with this item of superb kit. It is better than most NATO countries' waterbottles - I've not seen better in the entire world. 1) It has a wide neck that enables quick/easy filling. 2) The tough construction and shape means that it is extremely durable. In the 1980s, I was issued my 1965 dated '58 Waterbottle. In 1990, I had to replace the standard cap with a S10 NBC (CBRN) cap. I carry/use it EVERY day and it's still going strong, never let me down. This is no exaggeration. I also have my 1972 manufactured '58 Waterbottle which I used when a cadet. Proof of the adage, "look after your kit and your kit looks after you."”

“This is the basic water bottle that every cadet should own. I take this on all trips I do, and carry it in webbing as a spare 1 litre of water. Reviews elsewhere suggest that bottles like this do leak, but I have had no experience of this, and am very happy with the product. CDT SGT Miller, 1349 Woking, Surrey Wing Nijmegen”
