<p>The VALE Bar can accept any thickness sheet— all that is needed is a long enough screw! The draw back to this is care needs to be taken to ensure that the VALE Bar is not over-tightened which may cause damage to the glazing sheets. Once secured the PVC Cover Cap clips on ensuring that water can not enter the fixing channel or leak through the roof.  The Glazing bar is 60mm wide and the rubber base gasket is 45mm</p> <p><strong>BARREL VAULTED ROOFS </strong></p> <p>The VALE bar is ideal for use in barrel vaulted roofs where the structural frame is shaped to a curve. This is because the bar can be pulled to the correct curvature using the fixing screws to a minimum 3 metre radius curve.  </p> <p><strong>FIXING VALE BARS DOWN </strong></p> <p>Frames should be flat and stable, made of timber or metal and be at least 45mm wide. The Aluminium Core is screwed on top of the Base Seal every 400mm. At the lower (gutter) end of the roof, bars can overhang the Support Beam by 50mm. RUBBER SEALS/ GASKETS The VALE Bar is C&amp;A’s only Frame Supported Bar which uses rubber Gaskets. The bar consists of a Base Seal which is glued to the supporting beam/ timber, then the screwed down Aluminium Core which houses a further two Primary Seals.</p> <p> </p>
