“We are very pleased indeed, mostly because the chickens feed from this without scattering food on the ground, and the feed stays dry. We got this to replace a 40kg feeder which had a shallow feed tray and the birds would spread a third of the feed on the ground, which would attract rats. This new feeder is the 40 litre one, and it takes around 30kg of layers pellets, and will last our birds for more than a month (so that when we are away there is one less chore for the person who looks after them). Strong enough, and stable on its tripod legs. Chickens fed from it from the first day.”
