“Easy to put together & make operational. It took a while for all 4 of my hens to get used to it but after a few weeks they all now do. Whilst waiting for the penny to drop I wedged the treadle in the open position for a few hours a day so that they could see the food. One by one they got the idea & now all feed happily from it. I bought the 20kg size feeder which holds enough to feed my 4 for 3 weeks. No loss of food to other wildlife. I would recommend this as a good buy.”

This is made from plastic, and the rodents have, within a few months, destroyed the plastic, rendering it completely useless.
If you are considering one of these - avoid this one, and get on which is fully metal.”
“Good, solid construction. Took the hens a while to get the hang of it but we put a brick on the treadle for a few days and now they seem to understand. We bought this as we had a rodent problem but it seems to be sorted now. Price was good compared to some other sites.”
