Absolutely blown away by this bit of kit. Not been able to gig it yet(due to some sort of virus or something!!)but have tried various processors ,modellers and profilers thru it and full marks every time...SO much headroom ,ideal for getting your own back on that drummer with an array of china crash cymbals. Graphic is a great addition to tame the high end in hard surface , "ringy" environments .Great service from Andrew and the team when first unit was damaged in transit ,a replacement was with me and the damaged one collected in 36 hrs!!! Best customer care in living memory....Don't go changing Bishop Sound ,we love you just the way you are!

Compact, lightweight and amazingly powerful These tiny speakers are amazingly versatile, the smallest configuration is just one orion, a microphone and perhaps a speaker stand but you can even do without that at a pinch. So portable the whole rig would fit on the back seat of a car. (i've done it !) The next step up is to use two on stands with perhaps a small mixer (i use a behringer xr18) Again, it can be carried in a modest estate car or hatchback, no big van needed. You might get a snigger or two from the big rig guys until you fire them up ! These little speakers can deliver a wallop that is way beyond what their diminutive size and weight would suggest. A quick look at the spec on the back of the speaker will soon tell you why, 350 true rms watts, no peak program, pmpo, or just before the voice coil explodes ratings. The 96 db watt-meter efficiency is fairly high for a speaker of this type and the frequency response is broad and flat no nasty "designed" in response peaks (the so called presets) If you want an odd response however these (unusually) have a 5 band graphic so you can tweak away to your heart's content (funny room acoustics or speaker placement for example) Bass response is good going down to 45 hz according to the spec but i suspect a little lower than that. this is perhaps not in the big subwoofer department but very respectable. if you need some heavy bottom end "grunt" these pair really nicely with bb118as being active cabinets you can daisy chain them without worrying about speaker impedance and the like you can use them singly or in 2s 3s 4s or even a great wall of them (pretty impressive i imagine) this brings me to the one minor gripe i have. they do not stack too well due to the cabinet design (perhaps bishopsound could produce stacking brackets for them) they are very solidly built and can take a fair bit of mechanical and electrical abuse. i don't advocate abusing speakers but in a working p.a. accidents can (and do !) happen. some removable covers to prevent transit damage to the controls would be a good idea i will probably make some for mine (another product idea andrew) please note i am not affiliated with bishopsound in any way and this is an independent review based on my experiences.
