“What can I say!! First off I knew I was going to get a good driver for the money as I have had a pair of the 400w 12" drivers that I have driven pretty hard at gigs which sound great and seem bullet proof so I knew what I was getting into. As for this 18" monster before buying I didn't have a budget and could of easily spent more on a well known brand. However I kept coming back to bishop after the specs and more importantly the build of the driver. First off the build - solid and stylish basket, rigid and solid cone, 4" voice coil, push terminals, solid and treated cables from terminals to cone, a good amount of venting, large magnet. Performance - pushed pretty hard at home ( poor neighbors ) and left playing all day at a moderate level it is clear this thing means business and it actually went lower in the cabinet than the original driver I took out. I didn't go in blind however and looked at the specs and knew it would be pretty well suited for the cabinet. As for the specs I believe them to be pretty close ( maybe not quite 99db sensitivity but pretty dam close ), wattage no doubt about it!! It was however heavier than stated but no issues with that. I have noticed a lot of companies with similar specs with identical baskets and cones but with other parts that are actually inferior to the bishop. The "B&C 18TBX100" comes to mind and cost quite a bit more. And last but not least the customer service from Andrew and Victoria is second to none and always happy to help. I was actually on the phone to Andrew for 30 mins with an enquiry and we got lost in conversation and Victoria always kept me posted on my delivery without fail. This also seels the deal for me. I just have to hit the road with it now when the world gets back into the swing of things but as mentioned before with the 12" driver I purchased before I'm pretty sure it will be more than reliable. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!”
