About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

Like any premium product, the quality of materials, design and craftsmanship that goes into creating a Billingham means that it represents a significant investment. It’s important that they don’t just look beautiful, but that they do their job of protecting equipment wherever they are and whatever they’re being used for – year in and year out.

Most camera bags I've used work best for either transport or shooting. The Hadley One suits my purposes for both. It's large enough to hold enough gear for most any travel need, yet compact enough to fit underneath an airline seat. Though it's a bit thicker than the average messenger, it's still small enough to carry and shoot from for several hours at a time. The Hadley One is my fifth Billingham and it probably won't be the last. Living in a climate where rain showers can be frequent and sudden, the Hadley One--like all the others--keeps my gear completely dry and looks good while doing it.

Bought the Hadley One as the perfect commuter bag for carrying my daily gear to work and back. Laptop, camera, phone, power bank, over-ear noise canceling headphones, notebook, pen, water bottle, you name it! Way better looking than the Eventer series in my opinion and much better value too! Of course, this is more photography oriented than the Eventer, which is probably a better multi-use bag, but hey, camera is why we are here for Billinghams in the first place, isn’t it?

Bought the Hadley One camera bag, and without doubt it is excellent quality and will last me for years. My only crtitism is, given the price: I feel it should come with a shoulder pad, instead of having to buy it as an optional extra.

Have had it for four months now. Amazing quality. The half insert is useful in some situations but I mostly leave it at home. The bag is nicely padded without it anyway. You can easily fit a camera body, 2-3 medium lenses, maybe a small travel tripod, a water bottle and some small stuff in front. And it's so sturdy. I was scared at first of ripping some of the interior with sharp stuff but it's so resilient. The interior is pretty much like the exterior. If you have the money, go for it. But use it, don't leave it at home. That way people can appreciate how nice it looks.
