“It is very well in every aspect as one of the few bags that offers storage space for iPad. It would be better if it has enough depth for a mirrorless likes z8 without vertical grip.”

“I wrote this review about the Eventer Mini for Camera West. I thought you should also see it... After a few weeks with the eventer mini I thought it was time to give a brief review. It’s becoming my favorite bag. It’s size is about perfect. While I have been using the Hadley small pro for years, of late it seems cramped. While I can get my kit in the Hadley it gets difficult to remove and replace my gear in the bag. The eventer mini is just large enough to fit the same gear but since it just a little larger it’s easier to manage. I also have the full sized eventer, but the problem with that is that it’s so large it’s easy to overload and exceed it’s capability, thus I have had issues that required repairs from Billingham. The eventer mini does not have those issues as it’s capacity is more manageable. Since it uses the same design for its strap and uses the size shoulder pad as it’s big brother it spreads the load over a wider area on your shoulder so the same weight as in the Hadley small pro feels lighter in the eventer mini. Not to say it’s perfect it shares some of the same faults as it’s big brother, namely shoulder strap is too short for proper cross body on larger users, also the shoulder strap itself is slightly thinner so it tends to curl in the shoulder pad. I find this last issue can be resolved by using the bag cross body as this issue mostly occurs when the bag is hanging down. Overall the build quality is excellent and up to the high quality that Billingham is known for. If had known of this bag last summer I would have not purchased the Hadley small pro and waited even though I have used the Hadley small pro for years in China.”

“When I first saw a picture of the new mini eventer, I was just blown away by the look of it. The navy canvas with chocolate leather details was excellent, and I must say I can't resist the navy color on Billingham bags. As I already have a lot of bags from Billingham, I did not need a new one, but the new mini eventer had some properties that I liked. I already own the Hadley small pro and the Hadley one camera/laptop bag, and sometimes I feel the Hadly small is too small; I can't get my iPad in there and the Hadly one too large when I only want to take my iPad and not my laptop. And this is where the mini eventer fit in perfectly as I use it with my Leica cameras, and it has space for my iPad. And it has plenty of room for a camera or two and some lenses as well. Today I have a Leica M10P with 35, 50, 90 APO from Voigtlander and the new 28 5.6 from TT Artisan in the bag together with my Leica Q2. And still have space for a notebook, pens, spare batteries, straps, cleaning clothes and an external EVF for my Leica. But what I liked was the new zipper closing the camera department and the new (i believe) waterproof zipper. It was a no brainer, and the bag was ordered and delivered to Norway in no time. And as a bonus, there was a shoulder pad, and lugged tally included. I have used the bag for some weeks now and are super happy about it. Rgds Ivar”

“I have owned Hadley Large while owing Canon DSLR and it was a great bag. When I moved to Olympus M43 and Sony Mirrorless, I decided to get Hadley Pro in 2014 and still uses it. Bought into Leica system in 2020 and was contemplating Hadley Pro 2020 but being very similar to what I already have in Hadley Pro stopped me till Mini Eventer showed up and I am a happy camper.”
