About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

Like any premium product, the quality of materials, design and craftsmanship that goes into creating a Billingham means that it represents a significant investment. It’s important that they don’t just look beautiful, but that they do their job of protecting equipment wherever they are and whatever they’re being used for – year in and year out.

A true five star product in every respect. I bought my Billingham 335 cordura bag back in the early 80’s and it is still going strong after years of use. The bag has hardly any signs of wear on other than what you would expect of 40 years of use from such a well made bag. The only thing I have misplaced are the foam dividers that I took out when I used the bag as a travel bag on a trip. It could be time to get some of the new super flex system for my bag. Thank you To the Billingham team for making such well made bag.and trusty travel companion.

My boyfriend bought me this bag some twenty years ago and it’s been twice around the world and doesn’t look like it. It’s the perfect size for the professional guy with confidence: he doesn’t need to carry everything except the kitchen sink. I now carry a pair of Leicaflex SL bodies with 35 & 90mm lenses, handheld meter (my inbuilt meters don’t work and if they did, the batteries haven’t been available for the past thirty years). The front pocket carries my workbook, a Filofax Deskfax. Films, pens etc plus a few personal items and still room left. I can carry it on a plane no problem provided I don’t pack out the two front pockets. Carrying it by the handles, not the shoulder strap pulls it in a bit so it doesn’t look too big. The rear zipped pocket usually carries a New York Times to read on the plane. As you will have gathered by now, I don’t like battery dependent gear. The handheld meter is a trusty Weston Master V, no battery. Billingham stuff is British and the best. Buy and you’re keeping someone in a job, ditto Barbour. Some 85% of my clothes are Barbour. My shoes and boots are Loakes of Northampton. Gucci loafers? Not for me, madam, no. Save those for the men with little messenger bags from Mulberry or Bally. I bet their wives cringe! Real men carry Billingham bags.

I received my 335 from the wife of a close friend who passed away about two years ago. He was an amateur enthusiast passionate about photography. I was very sad about the loss of my dear friend. I don't know when or where he bought the 335, but the serial number is 507906. I would love to know when it was manufactured. I am delighted with the 335, extremely practical and comfortable. I use it when traveling and in my professional photography work. Maybe I won't use it for another 30 years, I would be 100 years old :-), but I will definitely leave it to my grandchildren to enjoy it. A big hug for everyone here in southern Brazil.

Just Ordered my first 335 in the custom colour Imperial blue, very fast delivery exactly 1 week, very good customer communications, from Billingham and UPS delivery was delayed due to severe weather conditions. the bag is much thinner than I thought it would be, my equipment a Nikon D5300 and a Nikon D750 with lenses, flash and smaller equipment fit perfectly. The colour is even better than online. after many years of thinking to one of your bags ( yes they are not cheap) this is one of the best purchases ever thank you very much Team Billingham the bag just radiates quality

I've owned two 335s, two 445s and a 306 over the past thirty-odd years, and wouldn't use anything else. They are absolutely superb in the quality of materials and construction, and have the amazing look of a timeless piece of practical art. I still prefer the very traditional, understated look of the khaki canvas and tan leather, which all of mine have been, but that's just my preference. The after-sales back-up of the company, still based in the U.K., is also second to none. Highly recommended.
