About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

Like any premium product, the quality of materials, design and craftsmanship that goes into creating a Billingham means that it represents a significant investment. It’s important that they don’t just look beautiful, but that they do their job of protecting equipment wherever they are and whatever they’re being used for – year in and year out.

Love this bag! Perfect day shoulder bag. Not too big and not too small. I can even fir my 5DsR in plus bits and pieces, phone , bars etc. When not taking my DSLR it hold so much for the size What sets it apart foremother bags is that it has feet which protect the bottom. The nearest bags still in production are the S2 or S3 but no feet. This is a better bag IMO

Did you buy the product from Billingham.co.uk?
I have owned several Billinghams bags, 550, 225, extra pockets etc. but my current favourite is the L2 (discontinued). It is a size that can be carried all day yet will accommodate much more than you might expect looking at its size. Mine usually has my 5DsR with 16-35f4L (or 24-70) lens, spare battery and filters, pens and notebook, penknife, sandwiches and chocolate in, but sometimes it has water, a down gilet and a book or sandwiches in. Yet it is so small and unobtrusive and has fast access to the camera.. I love that it has brass feet and is reinforced with extra leather to keep it rigid, not only des it keep all sorts of vile stuff you find on the ground off it, it also means it doesn't fall over or 'flop' when you put it down. The only thing that could improve it would be a document pocket on the back (zip placed where it can't rub please!) :) No one else makes bags of this quality and style The nearest now is the S3 but it doesn't have brass feet which to me are a must for me :(

A wonderful bag. I bought one years ago (before it officially existed: I got it from Wex Photo, but it wasn't on the Billingham site) to hold my Canon PowerShot G9 plus wide and tele converters, plus flashgun (at that point, I added AVEA pouches to both ends) and a few polarizing and ND filters. I then repurposed it to hold my Pentax K-5 with three Limited series lenses (4/15, 2.8/35, 2.4/70), for which it was perfect. Now I use it to hold my Sony RX10iii, flash, filters, etc. It's the bag that cannot die, and will probably be around longer than me, holding constantly changing camera rigs, and working perfectly. On a negative note: I can't understand why it's being discontinued; ergonomically, it's far superior to my Hadley Pro.
