“We loved our stay at Stira Beach with BeyondBeach. All the staff (BeyondBeach booking team, BeyondBeach onsite team and the hotel team) were friendly, helpful and efficient. There was plenty of water sports and bike equipment that was all in good condition. We went the last week in August - the temperature was perfect - the wind varied through the week, from strong and exciting to a little tame on one day, but we were on the water everyday with the staff giving great advice on what equipment to use and where to sail depending on the wind. And the safety boats are more than happy to rescue you if can't get back into the beach! There were lots of lessons or group activities to sign up to. But for me the real treat was that the waterfront team got all the equipment out for you and put it way afterwards, so I could use all my energy on the water! It was great for our children (15, 18 and 21) as there were lots of other like-minded families around. The hotel is in a lovely location - you can walk one way along the coast and be in rugged undisturbed countryside, or walk the other way along the beach into New Stira for dinner or shopping (or you can take the hotel minibus or get a local taxi). There are also several well marked walking routes of varying difficulty and length. Advice - Use the resort map on the BeyondBeach website to choose your rooms, depending how far away you want to be from the pool and beach, and the view from your balcony. Take wet suit or sailing shoes as there are a few spikey sea urchins in the sea! As you book your own flights, it is easy to tag on a day or 2 sightseeing in Athens on the way or the way back (must see - Panathenaic Stadium - old Olympic stadium). Note - The pool has a great view over the sailing area, but it is a salt pool.”

“We had two weeks at Venus Beach in Nea Styra last year, two weeks again this year, and...er...have already booked for two weeks again next year! We have fallen in love with the authenticity of the place, the relaxed and happy social activities, and the super professional and fun beach team. The other guests have always been super sociable folk and we've made some great new friends. As an experienced dinghy sailor I've had some super exhilarating dinghy and cat sailing in some of the stronger winds, improved my dodgy wind surfing skills and started learning winging and foiling from scratch. My wife was a complete beginner on it all but is now a pretty competent dinghy sailor and is doing great learning wing and foil too. There is nothing I'd change.”

“We had such a great week at Stira Bay! The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We loved all the activities especially the sail away and paddle tour day exploring the coast line. The location was perfect with the hotel right on the beach. Kit was always available whenever we wanted it and we spent hours on the water. Would definitely go back!”

There was so much to do and all of it with either top notch equipment and/or instruction from the friendliest beach team. Round that off with the delicious food and a cocktail or two in the evenings and things couldn’t be better. Or could they? You get to do again the next day and the day and the next day …. Loved it all and can’t wait to come back again.”

“We have just returned from another 2 weeks of wonderful sailing / activity at Stira Bay. Just like last year the team was led by Michelle, the whole team are all so friendly, accommodating and really encourage you to get stuck in! Which we did :-) So many highlights but we loved the Sail Away and the Wacky Races. We're already looking forward to next year!!”
