“We were booked onto the ‘Introduction to Sailing’ course - what a fantastic week we had in Lixouri! Shirley, our instructor, could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring whilst teaching the ICC course to our son and daughter - 20 & 18 years old. If you are considering taking this course - just book it - as BeyondBeach offers a smooth booking system, thorough tuition and a chance to acquire new skills from an unforgettable trip. “A great week -Maddy was the best skipper super calm and supportive throughout - so grateful she was there to share her knowledge (repeatedly) with us. The boats are a great size with enough facilities - you go with an open mind if you are staying on them to get them full sailing experience. However the use of an apartment 1 min away helps ease you in gently Location is just perfect - Lixouri is a wonderful place easy access to lovely bars and restaurants. Very short walk to supermarket and ATM from Marina.”

“Just returned from a fantastic two week holiday to Kefalonia with Beyond Beach which I would highly recommend. First week in Lixouri doing our IYT ICC with the knowledgable and fun Shirley. Amazing blend of learning to sail whilst having fun as a family of five with 3 children aged 9-14. The 36ft Bavaria had plenty of room for us all and the marina in walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Lixouri. A kitchen and bathroom with hot shower an added bonus. Dolphins swimming under the bow, whale spouting in the bay and turtles popping up all made for a wonderful, wholesome family adventure. Our second week at the Beach club was full of fun - meeting like minded families all keen on watersports and being active. Timetable was jam packed and we made the most of learning about spinnakers, catamarans, wing foiling, wind surfing whilst trying out the full range of dinghies, kayaks and paddle boards. Great variety of kit and always something available to go out in. Beach team highly skilled, knowledgable and fun. Beautiful, quiet bay in a stunning location. Excellent family run hotel with attentive staff and beautiful home cooked local food. Absolute winning formula.”

“We have just returned from the most amazing two weeks with Beyond Beach. We learned to sail in week one and spent the second week at the Lixouri beach club. We will definitely be returning. What fabulous a holiday. Fantastic team, great family run hotel. Thank you.”

“We have just returned from a Learn to Sail course in Kefalonia with BeyondBeach. The team in the UK provided excellent support when I was struggling to register for the theory course with IYT. The practical course provided by BeyondBeach is fantastic value, with the price including the charter of the yacht for the week, an experienced Skipper on board for 5 days to teach you everything you need to know to achieve your IYT licence and a welcome pack that includes everything to keep your yacht shipshape. Shirley was a fantastic, patient and fun Skipper, who ensured we had a safe environment in which to learn. The yachts are very well-equipped and we were provided with air conditioning units out of storage when the daytime temperatures soared to 40 degrees, making our nights more comfortable. There is an apartment next to the Marina where you can go to have a shower, connect to Wifi and store items in the fridge. Most evenings we strolled from the Marina to the bars and restaurants of Lixouri. Shirley provided with some excellent recommendations. We also had a lovely night at anchor in the South of the island. A perfect week. We'll be back next year to practice our new found skills on Flotilla! This is a Company that truly cares about its customers.”

“We had a fantastic week learning how to sail with Sea Trek. Our instructor Mick was so good and so calm, and he made the whole experience for us really enjoyable. The whole team, Shirley, Maddy, Barry and all the admin team have been fab! We highly recommend! See you next year Trek team!”
