A meter bracket is designed to suspend a gas meter, using the two male threaded bosses on the top of the meter. Specially designed meter unions and adaptors with grooves in them (P/Ns 0980, 0981, 0982, 20353 or 0217) are slid into the slots in the meter bracket and the meter is then attached to these. A security washer and shear bolt should be used to prevent unauthorised removal of the meter union or adaptor from the bracket.The meter brackets may be fixed to a wall, or to the floor-mounted bracket (P/N 6229).Inlet and outlet accept P/Ns 0981, 0982, 20353 or 0217 (giving 22 mm capillary male, 3/4" BSP taper male, 28 mm male/22 mm female capillary or 1" BS 746 male threads respectively). The above brackets (P/Ns 8210 and 8211) will accept U6, G4 and E6.G130 meters - P/Ns 19957, 12845 and 21122.
