“It probably works well on gas and BSP tapered metal pipe fittings but it definitely works a treat on plastic BSP fittings too. The sort normally used for irrigation and gardening. Had problems sealing 3/4 BSP plastic connectors as things like inline filters don't have a sealing ring in the female connection. About 1 1/2 turns of this thick PTFE on the plastic male threads sorts it out. (I am rigging up temporary hoses and connections, in the loft and on individual radiators to mains flush my very old vented system. Getting loads of extra sludge probably from the vent pipe to flow junction that's completely inaccessible behind the built-in boiler.)”
