The Altecnic Ares Angled Differential Bypass Valve is designed for use in sealed heating systems to maintain stable differential pressure between flow and return pipework. It is typically installed in systems incorporating thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) or 2-port zone control valves, where variable flow conditions can lead to pressure fluctuations and system noise. Fitted in the bypass between the flow and return, the valve opens automatically when differential pressure rises above the set level, allowing controlled bypass flow. This maintains system stability, reduces strain on components, and helps prevent noise issues and pump over-pressurisation. It is suitable for both domestic and commercial sealed heating systems. The angled pattern valve features an adjustable setting range of 1 to 5 metre head (0.1 to 0.5 bar), allowing accurate commissioning to suit system requirements. The adjustment mechanism is housed beneath a protective dome, concealing the scale for a clean installation finish while protecting it from accidental alteration.
