The quality of the product is dubious. The valve and float inside are reasonable quality, however the casing is cheap and flimsy. The valve was suppose to mount to the back wall of the cistern, not a chance. Whoever, QA this product didn't bother to make sure the valve would hold to the back wall of the cistern as the moulding hole for the valve attachment would never hold to the cistern wall. Frankly, this product quality does reflect the price paid.

Cistern is good but 90 push fit elbow supplied leaks, had to use a compression fitting to get it to stop leaking

Hi. I had to replace my Dudley Cistern after many years of great service. The new design however is not as good as the older one. The flush pipe only pushes onto the cistern with two O rings to hold it in place. When I was fitting it I made a silly mastake an cut the flush pipe to short. I puchased a new flush pipe which was supposed to be the a DUDLEY part. Unfortunately it was a standard part which did not fit the cistern very well being a loose fit on the O rings. The only way I could seal it was with some silicone. The old cistern had a properly made fixing with a large plastic nut and washer so no chance of making my silly mistake. The older design was much better.
