“Anyone who knows me knows I hate trainers. They are ugly and make me feel short and wide! But having had problems with the cushioning on my feet from walking on hard floors for too long, I had to find some anti-shock shoes and thought I’d start with trainers. These looked more elegant than most and I liked the idea of the zip up the side. When they arrived I thought the wrong size had been sent because they looked so small - I’m a 6.5 but they fitted in length no problem. I have a slightly wider left foot which was noticeable for the first few days as they rubbed on my toe but being leather they soon softened up. The electric shocks and burning sensations have almost been eliminated through wearing these and two other pairs of Rieker shoes I have bought since. They are well constructed and the technology obviously works. They are not memory foam I must add - it’s a very different feeling underfoot that that. Memory foam would be no good for my feet when they are not how they should be - these seem to push your foot structure where it needs to be. Definitely worth the money and Rieker has so many styles to choose from. Am tempted to buy a second pit of these in case they go out of stock!”
