“We had been looking to update an old offset smoker that was ok but not amazing. After lots of research we opted for the pro 22. One of the things we were unable to find out was how many chips we would go through. So we took a chance and bought one and so glad we did. The smoker burns far less chips than we thought. So at 2 cooks ranging from 2 to 4 hours we have hardly made a dent in our 18kg bag of pellets. This is so easy to start and run, you can walk away and get on with your day. It is pretty easy to clean (very important) and doesn't take long. We have only done 2 cooks so far but the results have been terrific. Our teenager boys are hard to please but they literally fought over the babyback ribs. Many thanks to Traeger who have obviously put a lot of time/money into perfecting their smokers. After a search for top ten smokers this came out at No. 4 I don't write many reviews but normally start with the good and finish with the bad. In this case there isn't any bad. Great product.”
