“I looked at some reviews and decided to take a chance. I'm very pleased I did as the clever design and solid American-style build quality have exceeded expectations. My only slight niggle is that the mechanism that locks the stand is made of stamped aluminium sheet with nasty sharp edges. Also a hotplate for pizza would have been nice. (I'm going to make my own from a cut down marble floortile.) I burned in the barbecue as recommended and was amazed at the amount of sustained heat put out by such a tiny amount of charcoal. Now looking forward to some great cooking.”
“Used twice now and the food off the the bbq the second time around was fantastic as I learn't to control the heat much better. The addition of wood chips added an extra flavour. Have found that it is far more economical as you use far fewer briquettes”
“This title is not correct as we did not receive a free cover as this was not included on our purchase.
The BBQ was relatively easy to assemble and there were no problems.
We found that it best to light firelighters and leave for a minute before loading the charcoal as our first attempt was unsuccessful. The fan was turned on once the briquettes had settled and heat rose quickly with the hood down.
All the food cooked well although be aware you do not get the slightly burnt taste as your not cooking directly over coals.
