“Home assembly of the feet was not simple due to poor build quality of the bbq. The foot next to the gas cylinder regulator could not be screwed flat as the regulator/burner unit was misplaced. I had to slacken the screws of this unit and slide it fully away from the foot to allow the foot to seat properly. Also there were two burrs of sharp metal on the fixing lugs of the bbq lid. I caught and cut my finger on one of these. I had to file them smooth to prevent further mishaps. Thirdly, having attached the the gas cylinder support plate, the cylinder would not align with the threaded connector on the regulator and could not be screwed on. I had to hold the angled support plate in a vice and slightly bend it (significant force required) to allow the gas cylinder to align properly. The Cobb is marketed as a quality item and is not cheap so I would have expected better. I have used it once so far and it worked well so no complaints about operation.”
