“Worked well, but the charcoal capacity is really far too small for our Weber 47cm diameter barbecue, despite what the makers say.
A lot of people swear by using a chimney starter to light their barbecue, but personally, I didn't find that using one gave us any real advantage. We have always got good results by using enough top quality charcoal, and making sure it is properly, and evenly, ignited in the first place. Using the chimney starter actually slowed things down, as due to its small capacity we had to add more charcoal and wait for it to burn properly before we could cook.
To sum up, this device would probably be fine for using with a very small barbecue, especially with poorer quality fuel, but it's not for us.”
