“I’ve been a Weber person for years, but always charcoal - were on our second full size kettle, the first lasted nearly 17 years with regular use before someone else adopted it from us….and we have a Smokey Joe for our travels - I’m not stopping charcoal grilling, but we took the plunge with the Summit as it has its benefits: not least is the speed at which it gets to temperature, less than 10 minutes and it’s extremely controllable. The Summit is, as everyone says, built extremely well and seemingly to last (we hope so for the money). The only downside is that the gas bottle hangs on a hook, externally (on a bracket with a strap) and not in the ‘cupboard’ as shown in so many reviews. I have contacted Weber to see if there’s an accessory to disguise our bright green gas bottle that hangs on the right hand side, but they tell me there is nothing… still, it seems to be a really good choice and BBQ World have come up trumps, yet again, for excellent service.”
