Thanks for the review. Unfortunately this brush isn't intended to remove the grease. For a really deep clean we would recommend a cooking grate cleaner spray.
For a standard clean we would recommend getting the bbq to a high temperature either gas or charcoal and then putting the lid down for 10/15 minutes after which take the T Brush and scrub of any debris. This can be done at the start and end of barbecuing. The burn off method is generally the best way to clean your bbq.
The Weber grill brush with the bamboo handle is more designed for charcoal barbecues as it has metal notched scraper at the head.
