“I bought this with a cashback offer. The cashback offer from Weber is basically a scam as they make up a number of excuses not to give you the money and eventually refused to pay me even though I had bought a barbecue within the period and sent them all the necessary documents.
I have tried to get support from the retailer (BBQ World / Dawsons Dept store. They gave me the web address of where to claim (as if I didn’t already know given I had already claimed), a telephone number for Weber (which tells you you can only make enquiries about the cashback via the website) and a copy of my invoice (which I had already sent….). So they basically washed their hands and have nothing to do with the offer. Of course they advertise the offer prominently and it’s how I found about it and bought the barbecue in the first place. Let’s just say their customer service is really poor and once they have your money they’re not so interested in your as a customer.
Without the £125 cashback this is an overpriced tin and plastic garbage barbecue. It’s flimsy and the drum is made of thing sheet metal.
So what I have I learnt from spending £300 on this Weber barbecue? Well firstly don’t buy anything from BBQ World / Dawsons as they have rubbish after sales. Don’t buy a barbecue from Weber with any offer attached. Don’t waste your money on this barbecue.”
