“The build quality is very good but the customer support is dreadful. I assembled the unit and that was not complicated at all and two people does make the job easier. When done, I turned to the User Manual and saw that I should register for the warranty and followed the address provided. That site does not exist. After numerous attempts and accusing my laptop of not behaving, I called BBQ World (aka Dawsons Department Store) and they couldn't help me, other than to provide the number for a company JDM Products who are seemingly the distributors for Blackstone in the UK. They couldn't help much either to begin with but the gent I spoke to did find a web address where I could register. So I went to that webpage and found REGISTER. Job done, I thought, until I realised that it would not accept my model no. 2147EU as this site was for USA registrations only with no indication as to where an EU (or Ex-EU) customer could register. There was another email address shown being support@blackstoneproducts.eu and it is to that address that I have addressed my utter dissatisfaction with Blackstone. My advice: if you are willing to tpay your money and take your chances, then the griddle could be for you; otherwise find another decent one (Weber, usually).”
“My first impression is that its a very well made and a solid Griddle which is very easy to assemble. Its certainly very heavy and seems quite a solid design and everything seems very functional and build to a high standard.
I did however remove a star since its sold at a premium price but found a few things which were missing from the appliance; the shelves are fixed and don't fold, no hooks, wheels only on front legs and no turning castors at rear, no bottle opener/towel rail.”
