The LG1100 from Louisiana Grills is the largest
grill in the LG range, known for its heavy duty construction & cooking
versatility. Its the only grill youll ever need, because you can cook
'Direct' and 'Indirect' on this grill - you can equally well grill some
burgers as you can low-smoke a joint of meat.
And then if you take into account the option of
adding a Cold Smoke Cabinet too, either now or at a later...

This is a great pellet grill! The Grill arrived well packed and in perfect condition. This is a very heavy grill, so two people may be needed to assemble. (although i did assemble it on my own) Assembly was very straight forward, which was helped by the high standard of the machined parts. There was one or two typo's in the manual. This was restricted to the lettered screw type. (EE was mentioned when FF was the actual screw needed etc). They also forget to show when to use the supplied washers on the diagram. But it is easy/obvious to work that out. I've had limited experience with others makes of grill, but i can say this is near perfect. The bright and clear digital controls are very easy to use and understand. It also comes with it's own food probe. There is no chimney like other pellet grills, so you don't get the back pressure problem with varying external temperatures. (ie no need to keep adjusting the chimney cover height) On using the grill, i've found it to be the only pellet grill i've seen/used that the temperature doesn't wonder up and down. The only time i see it alter is when i open the lid to check on the food. It's a big grill,so there is no shortage of space for the food. The grill plates are heavy gauge cast iron coated with a ceramic coating. It does have a flame/sear facility for the steak lovers. My grill is set to Centigrade, which is a bit of a pain when most of my recipes are in Fahrenheit. But i believe this can be altered with a switch on the back of the control panel. (I need to check with Louisiana Grills before touching that) The pellet hopper isn't the biggest, so on cold days with such a large grill will mean extra filling/attention will be required. There is an optional "hopper extension" available for the really long "low and slow" burns! The grill also has other small touches that shows they must listen to customer feedback. Like the option to alter the two fixed wheels to have side to side motion or front to back, for those who just slide the grill to/from the wall etc. The vented chrome lid handle, really does stay cool!
