We've designed this class for those of you with Kamado cooking experience, but looking to expand your repertoire. We will assume that attendees on this Advanced Class are capable of lighting their kamado bbq, and are confident in controlling the temperature of their grill using the air vents. If you aren't confident with temperature control yet, then take a look at our Kamado Core Skills Masterclass, which may be better suited to you at this stage. You can get  Hands-On on this Class, so that you can get involved in both the preparation and cooking if you wish to, although the majority of this class focuses on technique and theory. It is lead by Jack from @jacksmeatshack who is part of the Kamado Joe Firesquad and has a wealth of expertise across the Kamado Joe range. We will take you through the following skills and techniques; Smoking techniques and theory 'Dirty style' cooking Use of the Slo-Roller How to brine meats, and the theory behind it Different types of Smoking Woods and their applications Mastery of split-level cooking It will be a friendly, intimate class where you can watch a Kamado expert in action, ask questions, and be well-fed and watered throughout - you eat everything that is cooked, or take it home with you! And Jack will show you how to cook dishes similar to these, depending on fresh product availability; Bourbon-brined Rotisserie Chickens or Chicken Shawarma on a Rotisserie Smoked Brisket French-trimmed Rack of Pork Reverse-seared Dirty Style Steaks Prawn Tacos with a Roasted Pineapple Salsa The course will be held in our undercover purpose built BBQ area just outside of Hitchin, Hertfordshire SG4 7HD so come rain or shine you'll be sure to have a cracking day. Please note, Jack will be cooking across a range of Kamado-style grills - if you'd like to see a specific Kamado model in action, please contact us in advance and we can see if this can be accommodated. This is a cooking class, you'll be watching, learning, tasting and be invited to use a Kamado yourself at various intervals. Excellent class as always. This is the third kamado class I have been to and all have been brilliant. The atmosphere is always friendly and Jack is a great teacher. Would highly recommend.
