It is much easier and convenient than my coal bbq because it heats up quicker and it produces very little smoke. This is my first time using a gas bbq as well, and I am very impressed with the convenience and quality.”
“This BBQ arrives in a huge box! Don't be alarmed a lot of this is protective packaging, that being said this is a substantial BBQ and packing it into our small hatchback car with luggage for a trip away would be a challenge. Someone with a standard sized car or larger would have no issues. I tried it out straight away, from box to cooking temperature took less than 30 mins and was plenty of cooking space for family of four. We cooked 4 quarter pounder burgers and 12 sausages easily all at the same time and just had to turn once for even cooking. Cleaning was a breeze. There is a removable drip tray for grease and the grill comes in two parts that can go in the dishwasher. This didn't get them spotless but a quick wash after was enough to get the gleaning again. We will use this BBQ regularly now and will take on uk holidays if car space allows. Pros - Fantastic adjustable temperature control and even cooking. Easy cleaning. Sturdy. Value for money. Cons - No lip on edge of grill so one sausage rolled off when turning. No storage bag etc for travel. Bigger and heavier than I envisage so make sure you check dimensions and weight before purchase. Overall I love this Grill and am confident I will be using for years to come. Yes there are a few issues but nothing that would put me off purchasing.”
“My initial impressions when seeing the actual size of the packaging was wow this thing is going to be huge. But, don't be put off by this. The sheer size is mainly down to how well it was packaged.
After putting this thing together, it was very evident that the build quality was excellent and it had a real solid feel to it. The unit itself comes pretty much ready built and only requires you to install the cooking plates, gas canister holder and grease drip tray.
First use was so simple, the gas canister simply twist on and you are ready for cooking in seconds. The grill surface area is great. I cooked for a family of 4 and didn't struggle for space. The inbuilt temperature gauge was very handy to keep an eye on the internal temp when the lid was closed. The non stick surface on the griddle plate cleaned up brilliantly. I would agree with some of the other reviews regarding the edge not having a lip to contain those rogue sausages, but nothing that would stop me recommending this to others.
Overall first impressions are great, build, portability and simplicity make this an ideal partner to use when out and about with the family.”
“Very easy to unpack and set up, the gas connection was simple too. It was very well packed, lots of packaging, mostly recyclable. Very sleek stylish design, ultra portable, will fit nicely into the camper van. Easy to control, the heat was distributed evenly across the grill, which was great; this gave a great cooking experience. Easy to clean up afterwards too. A very impressive product.”
“Don't be alarmed by the size of the packaging it is well protected. The bbq is a nice size with plenty cooking space for small family gatherings. We fired this up over the Easter Bank Holiday and found it was easy to setup and the gas cartridge attached very easily. It was quick to heat up and the drip tray was so easy to clean in the dishwasher. We also washed the cooking plates in the dishwasher and they came up pretty well. Only thing that would improve it for me would be if you had dual control heat for each side of the bbq for cooking different meat.”
“I'm not one who has ever had a BBQ before and this was a great introduction to cooking BBQ food outdoors. I firstly found the item to be well made and sturdy and was exceptionally well packaged to avoidm any damage. Setup is simple enough with very little to actually assemble. The gas canisters are intuitive and easy to use with the simple click system you have no worried they are connected. The unit is compact but a little on the heavy side so I would not say its something you want to go walking with but travel from a car park at the beach to a beach would be ideal. I found myself wondering if I had lit the bbq correctly as you cannot really see the flame so if I had one improvement for it if its possible to have some sort of flame indicator? Cooking with the BBQ is easy and the plates have a good non stick coating and as per the pictures you get excellent grill marks on burgers. The heat is distributed evenly and I did not find any spots that where colder than the others. I would suggest tongs as the item has no lip at the back food can slide off especially sausages. Dishwasher safe components meant a simple easy clean up. As on my initial impression review the drip tray on mine has really sharp unfinished metal edges. I am awaiting a reply from the manufacturer on this and will update on hearing from them as could be a defect on my drip tray as its so sharp. Overall an excellent item and worth buying.”
“Made use of this bbq for the Easter bank holiday, as the weather was perfect. I have to say, upon unboxing, I was super impressed with the build quality. The gas canister holder at the back is a little flimsy but as the canister just sits in, it’s nothing to be concerned about. When I lit the bbq, I couldn’t tell it was actually lit, as I couldn’t see flames but I could hear the flames blowing in the wind and could feel heat, so took that as a positive sign it was working. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food that could actually fit on the cooking area. Lots of large chicken wings, sausages and breasts being cooked at once. Definitely enough room to cook food for at least 4 people! The handles incorporated into the legs of the bbq is really handy. The cast iron grills are easy to clean and fit perfectly in the dishwasher!! The thermometer on the lid is great, as it gives me an indication of the cooking temperature and I was able to cook the meat to perfection! Gone are the days where I will need a large bulky bbq with a large gas bottle. This is now my go to bbq and with the added bonus it’s portable!! Love this bbq. It’s a must have!”
