“This door looks like it cost a lot more than it did - even our contractor commented on the quality and was impressed that it came mostly pre-assembled.
That said, there are a couple of quirks worth mentioning:
The handle is positioned quite close to the edge, which makes opening it a bit awkward. From the outside, you need to brace the door with your other hand near the hinge. From the inside, it requires a bit of wrist gymnastics - thumb around the handle, the rest of your fingers used as a counter-lever. It works, but takes some getting used to. Probably not ideal for someone older or with limited mobility.
When closing, the door glides smoothly until the last inch or so, where it suddenly snaps shut and bangs against the frame. It’s a bit jarring, and I’m hoping it doesn’t cause damage over time.
In short, the door looks fantastic, but some odd design choices impact usability. Those quirks keep it from being a 4- or 5-star product.”
