“Only used it once or twice so far. I use it on a bass trombone and was concerned that this model may not work with the low frequencies (with a good tail wind I can get down to the F an octave below the bass clef) but so far it seems to work down there. I've found it slightly tricky to get it in a position where I can read the screen but other than that I'm impressed.”

Hi Sam, Thank you for your feedback. I've never used the Snark tuners on a bass trombone. However, I use them on double basses because of their ability to work reliably at lower frequencies. All the best, David.

“This is a great tuner for double bass. I'd previously been using a clip-on guitar tuner which could just about recognise G, was iffy on D and needed a harmonic on A and E. The Snark SN-2 works on all open strings and gives a quick and accurate reading. The display is very clear and the clamp is wide enough to attach easily to the bridge. A great investment for the newbie bass player (like me!)”
