“As I have never played cello before and starting as a mature student I thought the try before you buy scheme from Bassbags would be perfect. They provided advice on which cello to have - a mellower tone to help overcome the beginner's screeching! And upgraded the strings to those my teacher requested. The cello came in a beautiful well designed bag - as you would expect. Straightforward financial arrangements done from a couple of hundred miles away and delivery exactly as promised. Would recommend highly!”

“I have recently retired and am a complete beginner. Having been let down by an established music shop in Derby, I found the advice given clear, practical, useful and appropriate to my level. The administration of the rental was extremely efficient. I picked my cello up a couple of days later and was on my way. I would highly recommend Bass Bags.”

“I've been delighted with the service provided by Bass Bags - I rented a cello from them a few months ago as an adult beginner (fulfilling a life-long dream), and David gave me great advice about which cello to go for, and what was involved in the hire agreement. I have been having lessons (which I would strongly recommend for adult beginners), and my teacher thought the cello was of good quality and well set up by Bass Bags. I have now bought the cello I rented - Bass Bags is a great family-run business who pride themselves on provided a great service. Thank you!”

“I'm a total beginner to cello. David took me through everything I needed to know and gave excellent advice. My cello teacher was very impressed with my cello and all the work that had been done to make sure it was properly set up. She said it's made at least the initial part of her job much easier! And it will make my learning experience much more enjoyable. So many thanks to David and everyone at Bassbags for all your help and for delivering my cello so promptly - in central London too. (PS. I also discovered that if you take your cello on Southeastern trains you get upgraded to first class.)”
