“Plus: It's sturdy and pretty adjustable - certainly an upgrade on an IKEA bar stool. It's gotten me through whole long symphonic concerts trouble free (more Mahler .. yawn ... and another 50 bars rest). Not expensive for the solidity. Minus: the cushion is a bit soft; I could do with a firmer one and a couple of years down the line I'm thinking of getting it re-upholstered with memory foam and fabric. The backrest isn't that useful and adds significant extra weight (I removed it and stashed it in the attic). The foot rest is quite high and can't be adjusted. I think the underlying issue is that it is really a keyboard seat not a double bass stool. Think if I bought again I might pay the extra for a K&M one; but this one's so solid it will probably see me out!”

“I am so pleased with the double bass stool that you supplied me. It is by far the best value for money on the internet. I was prepared (albeit reluctantly!) to pay almost three times as much for a good adjustable stool, but then I found this one! The seat is extremely comfortable and the back rest (although I don’t use it) is well placed to support my back and adding a cushion would make it even better. The stool is very sturdy and build quality is extremely good. It has exceeded my expectations. If it could be made of aluminium to reduce the weight it would be even better, but I suspect it would make it more expensive. Thank you BassBags”

“Needed a double bass stool for my daughter. Not cheap, but it arrived promptly, came with very clear assembly instructions and first impressions suggest that the build quality and ergonomics are first class. It came with a back rest; neither my daughter or I can envisage anyone ever using it.”

“When it arrived I thought they has sent the wrong item because it said "Keyboard Throne", however it was in fact the correct stool. Assembly was easy and it has a good range of adjustment. I took the back rest off because I sit forward on a stool and the back rest add quite a lot to the overall weight. The stool folds up well to go in the back of the car, and without the back rest it weighs slightly less than the IKEA stool I was using before. The padded seat is good, and overall I am pleased with it. I don't think you can do better for the price.”
