This white Rioja wine is created from local Viura grapes. After a cold fermentation in stainless steel, the wine remains over its own lees in a combination of new Central European acacia barrels, Allier French oak barrels, and American oak barrels from Missouri for three months. It further ages in bottle, a stage that's essential to ensure the long-term development of the wine. A pale yellow-green colour with delicate golden hues results from its ageing in wood casks. The nose features a perfect integration of subtle fragrances from the different woods over a honeyed background of fresh fruit. On the palate, it has a fresh, creamy entrance, with a pleasantly delicate hint of oak that ensures a complex finish. This wine can be drunk now or laid down for some years to further increase its depth and complexity. Serve chilled at 8°C. It pairs well with grilled white meats, rice dishes, grilled fish on the bone, or other similar options.
