Jose Pariente Verdejo Barrica 2024 is a deep, smooth, and complex Rueda wine that showcases impeccable cellar craftsmanship. The fermentation in barrel, a meticulous process at Jose Pariente, results in an extraordinarily nuanced wine with an exceptional balance of fruit and wood. The wine undergoes fermentation in French oak barrels, both new and one year old, from various coopers, followed by seven months of batonnage with the wine in constant contact with its lees. It is then decanted into stainless steel tanks, where it remains for five months, before being bottled after clarification and stabilization. This wine has a bright and golden yellow appearance, with an intense, complex nose featuring spicy, slightly smoky aromas, ripe fruit, and a hint of wood. Notes of exotic fruits and minerals are also present. In the mouth, it is voluminous, unctuous, and very elegant, with a powerful taste and good acidity that ensures a long and lively passage.
