“There was a time when I never paid for wine. I reviewed it. One of the best ever (bar travel) perks of journalism. There's nothing like the sudden loss of a seemingly never ending supply of good, acceptable, OK and yack wine to concentrate the mind on the bank balance when having to pay for wine. And that means you really think about what you're buying. Is it good, is it value for your money, is it just something to slosh food down, or an aperitif or pick me up after a rubbish day? Is it special. This is special. It's also great value for money particularly if picked up on one of the regular discount deals and it comes from an absolute cracker of a company - great products, great communications, great delivery times and drivers. Shop around and you'll pay more, not less for this. It's lovely. Unoaked, dry, delicious, lingering finish ... and most moreish. Nice minimalistic styling to bottle too.”
