Having recently listened to Radio 4's Food Programme on the subject of Spanish chickpeas, I realised that I have been cooking with inferior ingredients. Oh, no! So I bought a jar of chickpeas, so I would know what I am aspiring to, and these. Soaked for 24 hours, then cooked in my stovetop pressure cooker for 15 minutes, these really do knock the spots off supermarket ones, or my usual Canadian bulk buy version. They're nice enough to eat as one would peanuts (in fact my parrot loves them) make lovely hummus and, of course, beautiful chickpea and spinach stew. Super!

After hearing an article on radio 4 about the superior quality of chickpeas and lentils produced in Spanish farms I decided to buy some.I found this supplier and was impressed with their selection. I ordered several items but so far have only cooked the chickpeas. A few packs are in the freezer to use in different dishes and I made a delicious creamy hummus flavoured with tahini, lemon, salt and cumin. I was pleased to find that the pulses were delivered in authentic cotton sacks and not plastic. It was easy to order from the website and the goods, including glass jars were securely packed and quickly delivered. Definitely recommend this company

Delicious chickpeas. After soaking and cooking I used them in a spinach and chickpea stew. Very tasty. Best chickpeas I've tasted.

These chickpeas are totally different to the tinned or normal dried varieties you might pick up in the supermarket. Once soaked and cooked, they are soft, full of flavour (more so than tinned) and the aqua faba produced is jelly like. Nice packaging too.

Good value, although bag a bit smaller than I envisaged

Great taste & texture. Despite their size they didn’t take long to cook. So much better than tinned.
