Fresh Padron Peppers - Spanish Green Peppers, Hand Picked, Unique Taste, Horsal Cooperative Reviews

4.8 Rating 207 Reviews
Read Basco Fine Foods Reviews

Discover our fresh Padron peppers, handpicked weekly from Spain by Horsal Cooperative in Galicia. These beloved little green peppers are a popular tapa in Spanish bars and a favorite among locals and tourists. With a unique sweet, asparagus-like taste and a slightly salty exterior, Pimientos de Padron are both delicious and intriguing. Horsal uses traditional autoctonous seeds to grow their padron peppers, allowing for varying levels of capsaicin. Their motto, ‘unos pican, otros no’ translates to ‘some are spicy, some are not’. These peppers are best enjoyed simply cooked in a hot pan with olive oil and sea salt until wilted and soft, making them a versatile accompaniment to other dishes.

We have purchased these before and really like them, also, the packaging is great and they keep very well in the fridge.

These are good, but cannot rate them as highly as Gernika peppers which are a better texture and flavour
