The Mascaro family, based in Penedes, Catalunya, are known for their production of cava, wine, brandies, Marc, Gin, and liqueurs. Their London Dry Gin, Gin 9, is a distilled spirit with a rich history dating back to the 1940s. This gin undergoes a double distillation process in copper stills, with the distinctive flavour and aroma coming from wild juniper sourced from the Penedes area of Sierra Llacuna. “My wife has only had one measure out of this bottle and I tried it straight, lovely flavour on it's own (think tonic overpowers most gins). She was very complimentary about it and she is the gin expert in the house. Only 4 stars at the moment might be higher after a few more tries.”
