A cult gin from Mahon in Menorca, Xoriguer is one of the only gins in the world, alongside Plymouth, to hold a geographical indication, Gin de Menorca. This gin, pronounced sho-ri-gair, was first created for British sailors stationed on the island between 1708 and 1802. Xoriguer is still made using traditional copper stills and high-quality wine alcohol (eau-de-vie), along with carefully selected juniper berries from nearby Mediterranean mountains and aromatic herbs. The herbs, a guarded secret of Xoriguer gin's original bouquet, are added at the start of each distillation process. The respect for tradition is such that the fuel still used today in the distillery remains unchanged.

“Bought this for my parents as currently unable to visit them with mother very high risk, and as gift to make the isolation more enjoyable. We had a lovely day out as children in Mahon where the gin was made as our first family holiday. My parents visited the distillery and had a fantastic time... What little of it they can remember! They couldn't believe it when it arrived, and said the gin tasted absolutely fantastic. Very different to usual gins, which is to be expected with the methods used to produce it. Maybe I'll buy a bottle for myself!”

“I visit menorca every year and have done since I was a tot. I always bring a few bottles back with me but with everything going on I wont be able to go this year. I am so glad I found this company. “I love this Gin - it has a real affinity with lemons and while recently in Mallorca, it was suggested to me the this is best drunk with bitter lemon - which really works! I'm just upset that I just missed out on the recent half price sale on this item!”
