Title: Amontillado Aurora Sherry This sherry, named Aurora, holds a rich history in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The name pays homage to Aurora Ambrosse Lacave, a pioneering female executive in the sherry trade who took over the bodega after her husband's death in 1911. The third criadera of The Conde Aldama solera in Bodegas Los Angeles (Barrio Alto) in Sanlucar de Barrameda is where Aurora Amontillado is bottled. The average age of this sherry in criadera is between 15 and 20 years. Its amber color is transparent, and its aroma offers a pungent and complex bouquet of hazelnuts, burnt caramel, and wood notes. On the palate, Aurora Amontillado delivers a wide range of taste sensations, with a long, lingering finish and a fine expression.

Thus is a cracking Amontillado from Sanlucar. Not easy to find unless in Andalucia. Thank you Basco team as always!

Dry but warm in your palette. Wonderful on ice!

I bought some to add a dash to my cooking, but on first sip it was just way too lovely to do that, and the whole bottle was consumed by friends during a tapas evening.

Bought to make an iberico pork cheek recipe on basco’s website and it was delicious! Need to purchase more cheeks to use rest of the sherry

One of the finest Amontillados I have had. They are hard to find these days due to the popularity of Manzanilla in the UK. This was a lovely colour and very smooth. Not too oxidised,
