Our Galician beef cheeks come from retired dairy cows between 6 and 8 years old. This type of ageing allows for natural grass-fed marbling of the beef, comparable to that of genetically optimised grain-fed US, Japanese and generic Wagyu beef. These older cows are chubbier animals with a higher percentage of fat content, resulting in more marbling and a distinct, unique flavour. Beef cheeks are deep in flavour and require a long, slow cook to tenderise and release their flavour. Cooked for hours, they become tender and easy to pull apart with a fork. Our Galician beef cheeks are a wholesome way to feed the whole family without compromising on taste. They are ready to be put straight into the slow cooker or diced for a hearty stew. Each bag contains four large cheeks weighing approximately 500g each, and comes frozen in approximately 1.8Kg bags.
