The problem about writing an incredibly complimentary and wow review is that you encourage other people to try it. It is no longer secreto. I have progressed through the years from one succulent cut of meat to another and it only gets better. When in Spain, my wife and I binge on Jamon Iberico. Secreto is the warm cut equivalent. Its all about the fat. Amazing, and if there were more stars I would award them.

Wow, so so impressed! About 10 minutes on the BBQ with the fat creating flare ups to help flavour the meat even more as the meat rendered down. Then left to rest in a warm place for around 10 mins, sliced into strips and served with a salad the whole family loved this meat so much that I immediately went and bought a load more. Highly recommend, though I may regret saying that as they’ll probably be a shortage next time I want to order more!

Have wanted to buy secreto for a long time, thank you Basco fine foods. I barbecued it at a family do. It went down well and evrryone wanted more and asked where i got it.

what a godsend it was to find Basco.. so far i have ordered 5kg of the Secreto Iberico and it never fails to impress. Every time I serve it (as a pre dinner nibble generally with chimichurri) everyone is blown away... like they say its the Wagyu of the pork world. I highly recommend you try it.. and if its something you already know then order with confidence!

Beautiful cut of pork. We barbequed half of this cut and got 2 meals for 2 people. Did no more than pepper and salt 5 mins before cooking for 5 minutes each side on a very hot bar-b-q. Served with our special recipe jacket potato, sweetheart cabbage, the chorizo cooking sausage (also on the barbie) and home made apple, pear and ginger sauce as a side. Easy peasy and absolutely delicious. PS also - packaging and delivery spot on.
