Alacer Roble is a vibrant expression of high-altitude Ribera del Duero winemaking, crafted from 100% Tempranillo grapes grown in vineyards perched over 900 metres above sea level. Sourced from select plots such as "Los Ontanillas," these mature vines thrive in poor, limestone-rich soils, naturally limiting yields and concentrating flavour. The extreme continental climate, with wide temperature swings, allows for slow, balanced ripening—preserving freshness while developing depth and complexity. In the winery, careful grape selection and gentle gravity-fed handling ensure the integrity of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in small tanks to maximise extraction, followed by four months ageing in French oak barrels, adding subtle structure and finesse without overpowering the varietal character. In the glass, Alacer Roble wine displays an intense cherry-red colour with youthful vibrancy. Aromas of ripe blackberries and blueberries are layered with hints of complexity, showcasing the wine's balanced ripening and careful winemaking process.
