Martinez Lacuesta Gran Reserva Coleccion Familia 2012 is a classic combination of Tempranno, Graciano, and Mazuelo grapes. Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta was founded in 1895 in Haro by Félix Martínez Lacuesta. The wine is produced only in the finest vintages, allowing Martinez Lacuesta to bottle exceptional wines. Colección Familia comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Haro and its surroundings, planted more than 40 years ago. The altitude ranges between 430m and 500m above sea level, in an area where the predominant soil is clay-limestone. Harvesting of the plots destined for the Colección Familia began on 1 October. It was carefully carried out to preserve the quality of the grapes. This wine is a great representation of the origins of great Rioja wines.

The wine was fine but the delivery was awful . The package was damaged and was stuck together with the carrier’s tape . One bottle was missing and I assume broken as the whole package was damp with red stains . Overall I felt you hadn’t packed it in the correct manner, especially for such an expensive wine .

Just received, great expectations. The best about wines like this is the assurance of a great quality full bodied, traditional wine.
