GRAPE VARIETIES 30% Monastrell, 30% Tempranillo, 20% Syrah and 20% Cabernet. WINE MAKING The vineyards are cultivated in clay and limestone soils in the Terres dels Alforins area at 650 metres of altitude. A blend of the four key Mediterranean varieties of Monastrell, Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, with 8 months of barrel ageing in a mixture of French, American and Hungarian oak barrels. Mala Vida is the result of a blend designed to satisfy a large variety of palates, the literal meaning is the Good Bad Life - enjoying what is bad for us! The label was designed by Francesca Della Croce. Silver Medal at the 2020 Decanter World Wine Awards. TASTING NOTES Mala Vida has a dark cherry red colour and intense aromas of red fruits, spices and toasted notes. The unctuous palate has sweet, ripe tannins and long-lasting fruit flavours. Pleasant and silky on an endless finish. FOOD PAIRING Mala Vida pairs perfectly with juicy meats, grilled fish, spicy foods, mild stews, pasta and paella rice dishes.
