Vega Sicilia Pintia 2019 is an elegant, full-bodied and intense expression of Tempranillo, with aromas and flavours of black fruit, spice and cedar. Grapes are sourced from vines planted at 700m altitude at a density of 1,000 vines per hectare. The wine is matured for 12 months in new oak, approximately 70% French and 30% American oak barrels. It has beautifully concentrated, ripe baked blackcurrant and plum fruit, cedar wood notes overlaid with spice and minerality. This wine is suitable for drinking now, but with ageing potential of up to 15 years if stored correctly. It pairs well with roast suckling pig or milk-fed lamb from Castilla.
